Strengthen Distribution Network in Sumatera Island, AAM Inaugurates Pangkalpinang Branch

PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) inaugurated its newest branch in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Pangkalpinang branch is the 38th AAM branch inaugurated as a commitment to provide easier and more affordable healthcare access to nearly 1.5 million people in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

This inauguration expands the service area and accelerates AAM's distribution lines for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, cosmetics, and consumer goods on Sumatra Island, which continues to experience growth.

Present at the inauguration representing the Head of the Health Department of Bangka Belitung Islands Province was the Secretary of the Health Department, Mr. Rudy Mahardy S.H., along with the Head of the Pangkalpinang Food and Drug Authority , Mr. Agus Riyanto S. Farm., Apt., Operational Director of AAM, Mr. Setyawan Pantja Juwono, Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Hendarto, and the Head of the Pangkalpinang AAM Branch, Mr. Ana Puji Hartanto.

Also present were representatives from AAM principals, representatives from public and private hospitals, pharmacy and minimarket relations, and other invited guests.

President Director of Medela Potentia, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, stated that this inauguration is a strategic step for AAM's business and proves AAM's position in the pharmaceutical and medical device distribution business.

"This inauguration is a strategic step to expand our reach and strengthen our presence in the market. This step allows us to better meet customer needs and accelerate the distribution of important pharmaceutical products, strengthening AAM's position as a leader in this industry," said Mr. Krestijanto Pandji.

AAM's President Director, Mrs. Juliwaty, stated that the presence of the Pangkalpinang AAM branch will improve services to principals and accelerate AAM's distribution.

"Previously, we sent goods from Palembang, so the time required was quite long, around 3 days for delivery. Meanwhile, other pharmaceutical distributors are faster because they have branch offices in Pangkalpinang. To improve the service level, where delivery can be made up to Belitung, we also hope to improve services to our customers," explained Mrs. Juliwaty.

At the inauguration event, Mr. Setyawan Pantja Juwono performed the inauguration by cutting the ribbon and slicing tumpeng, witnessed by the guests as a sign of the inauguration of the Pangkalpinang AAM Branch.

Secretary of the Health Department of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Mr. Rudy Mahardi, expressed appreciation to AAM for its commitment to providing faster distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products. He added that the opening of the Pangkalpinang AAM branch is in line with one of the pillars of health transformation, namely health resilience transformation.

"With the opening of this branch, accessibility is increased, especially since Bangka Belitung is an archipelago. We thank AAM for having a warehouse, which means there is a penta-helix cooperation between the government and the private sector," said Mr. Rudy.

Head of the Pangkalpinang Food and Drug Authority  Mr. Agus Riyanto, stated that the warehouse owned by AAM was built to support the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principle in accordance with the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority regulations.

"The inauguration of this office not only marks a new milestone for AAM but also demonstrates a strong commitment to bringing quality medicines by applying consistent GDP principles that are in line with Indonesian Food and Drug Authority  regulations and supervision," said Mr. Agus Riyanto.

Operational Director of AAM, Mr. Setyawan Pantja Juwono, appreciated all the teams involved in the process of building the Pangkalpinang AAM branch.

"The Pangkalpinang branch is a strategic step to strengthen our presence in Sumatra. With a wider distribution network, we believe we can improve the quality of services to principals and the people of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province," said Mr. Setyawan.

AAM began distributing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, and consumer goods in Pangkalpinang in 2012 by opening a representative office.

Pangkalpinang AAM branch is located at Jalan Raya Sungai Liat KM.7 No.99, BSM Warehouse Complex, Pagarawan Village, Merawan District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The Pangkalpinang AAM branch will serve the distribution of medicines throughout the Bangka and Belitung islands.
