PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), in collaboration with Alcon, strengthened its commitment to ophthalmic education and scientific engagement through its participation in the 51st Annual Scientific Meeting of PERDAMI (PIT PERDAMI), held on September 3–5, 2026, at Muladi Dome, Diponegoro University, Semarang.

Carrying the theme “GAMBANG SEMARANG – Gathering for Advancements in Medical, Biomedical AI, and National Community Eye Health Growth in Semarang,” the 51st PIT PERDAMI provided a platform for ophthalmologists and eye care professionals to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments in eye health science and technology.

As part of the event, AAM hosted a symposium entitled “Advancing Complete Dry Eye Management: The Essential Role of Lipid-Based Artificial Tears,” featuring dr. Yulia Aziza, Sp.M(K), Ph.D., and dr. Nina Asrini Noor, Sp.M., with dr. Fatimah Dyah Nur Astuti, MARS, Sp.M(K), serving as moderator.

Attended by approximately 110 healthcare professionals (HCPs), the symposium explored a comprehensive approach to dry eye management, particularly conditions associated with Evaporative Dry Eye (EDE) and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).

During the session, dr. Yulia Aziza presented clinical findings from a collaborative study with INOIIS PERDAMI on SYSTANE® COMPLETE. The findings demonstrated significant improvements across several key parameters, including a reduction in the Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) score, indicating an improvement in dry eye symptoms.

The study also showed improvements in meibomian gland condition, reflected by a significant reduction in upper meibomian gland loss and improvement in MGD staging. Meanwhile, Tear Break-Up Time (TBUT), an indicator of tear film stability, also increased, although the difference in improvement compared with the control group did not reach statistical significance.

“Partisipasi dalam PIT PERDAMI menjadi kesempatan bagi AAM dan Alcon untuk berdialog langsung dengan para dokter mata sekaligus menghadirkan informasi berbasis clinical evidence melalui produk-produk kesehatan mata global yang berkualitas dari Alcon,” ujar Ibu Tarida.

AAM Group Business Marketing Manager, CHP & Specialty, Ms. Tarida Nadapdap, said that AAM and Alcon’s participation in PIT PERDAMI reflects their commitment to supporting knowledge exchange and fostering meaningful dialogue with the medical community.

“Participating in PIT PERDAMI provides AAM and Alcon with an opportunity to engage directly with ophthalmologists while sharing clinical evidence-based information and introducing Alcon’s high-quality global eye care products,” said Mrs. Tarida.

Beyond the symposium, the AAM team also engaged with HCPs through the Alcon–AAM booth. Throughout the three-day event, the booth welcomed approximately 700 HCP visitors who received information about Alcon’s eye care portfolio, including SYSTANE® COMPLETE. The event was also attended by AAM Specialty Business Manager, Mr. Darwis Septian Siahaan, and AAM Promotion & Training Manager, Mrs. Lusianawati.

Through these interactions, ophthalmologists had the opportunity to learn more about SYSTANE® COMPLETE Multi-Dose Preservative-Free, an eye drop designed to help manage various types of dry eye, including evaporative dry eye associated with disruption of the lipid layer, aqueous-deficient dry eye associated with insufficient aqueous tears, and mixed dry eye.

SYSTANE® COMPLETE works across the layers of the tear film, including the lipid layer, to help maintain tear film stability and relieve various dry eye symptoms. The product combines nano-sized lipid droplet technology with Hydroxypropyl Guar (HP-Guar) to provide multi-symptom relief for patients with dry eye.

SYSTANE® COMPLETE Multi-Dose Preservative-Free also features PureFlow® Technology, a preservative-free multidose bottle system with a one-way valve designed to help minimize the risk of contamination while providing convenient use.

“Direct interaction with HCPs is an important part of this initiative. Beyond sharing product information, we also create opportunities for discussion so that insights from clinical practice and developments in the field can contribute to continuous education,” Ms. Tarida added.

Through scientific engagement, education, and direct interaction with healthcare professionals, AAM and Alcon continue to support the advancement of eye care by providing solutions that address patients’ needs and align with evolving clinical practices.
