The challenges of climate change and environmental degradation are becoming increasingly evident, including in the operational areas of the healthcare distribution industry across various regions in Indonesia. As a company operating nationwide, PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) views environmental responsibility as an integral part of its corporate sustainability strategy.
In response to these challenges, AAM, through its Argon Peduli, has participated in a tree-planting initiative as part of its implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. This initiative is not merely ceremonial but represents a concrete step toward supporting ecosystem sustainability while improving environmental quality in areas surrounding the company’s operations.
During the January–February 2026 period, a total of 750 trees were planted through 16 AAM branch offices across 14 cities, ranging from Aceh, Batam, and Palembang to Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Cirebon, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Kediri, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Manado, and Jayapura. The trees planted include fruit trees, mangroves, and tabebuya, selected based on the ecological characteristics of each region to ensure long-term sustainability and environmental benefits.
As part of PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA), AAM, together with other subsidiaries within the group, has also implemented similar initiatives across their respective operational areas. This approach reflects the integration of ESG strategies at the group level and a collective commitment to sustainably expanding social and environmental impact.
Indrawan Adi Nugraha, Head of Operations of PT Anugrah Argon Medica, stated that the activity reflects the company’s effort to deliver meaningful contributions within its operational regions.
“Through this participation, we hope to create a sustainable positive impact on the surrounding environment while strengthening the company’s commitment to ESG principles,” he said.
More broadly, this initiative also forms part of AAM’s participation alongside the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM RI) in supporting the One Million Trees Planting Movement, initiated in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of BPOM RI. This collaboration highlights the synergy between industry players and regulators in building a healthcare ecosystem that is not only strong in governance but also environmentally sustainable.
