Amid the rapid transformation of the pharmaceutical industry, future pharmacists are expected not only to master theoretical knowledge but also to understand how drug distribution and regulatory systems operate in the field. This includes ensuring that pharmaceutical supply chains comply with regulations and that pharmacists play a critical role in maintaining the quality and safety of products delivered to the community.
Recognizing this need, PT Medela Potentia Tbk through Argon Peduli collaborated with Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya (UKWMS) to host a guest lecture and organize an industrial visit to the Surabaya branch of PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM).
This initiative provided pharmacy students with the opportunity to directly observe the implementation of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and better understand the strategic role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical distribution companies (PBF). This hands-on learning experience aims to enhance their readiness to face real-world industry challenges.
The guest lecture took place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the East Theater Room, UKWMS Pakuwon City, featuring Mr. Petrus Wahyu Utomo, Project & Compliance Associate Manager of PT AAM, who presented the topic “Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and the Role of Pharmacists in Drug Distribution.” Attended by 90 students and faculty members, the session served as an interactive platform for students to deepen their understanding of pharmaceutical distribution standards and practices in Indonesia.

The program continued with an industrial visit to the Surabaya Branch of PT AAM on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Guided by Mrs. Amelia Senjaya, Deputy Branch Head of PT AAM Surabaya, students were given the opportunity to observe the operational processes of pharmaceutical distribution. During the visit, they learned how PT AAM prioritizes quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in its business operations.
“Through Argon Peduli, we aim to contribute to building a generation of pharmacists who are ready to face the challenges of the healthcare industry. Real-world exposure like this is expected to broaden their perspective and strengthen their professional competence,” said Mrs. Nancy Kartika, HR Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk.
This initiative reflects Argon Peduli’s strong commitment to strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and supporting the development of healthcare professionals in Indonesia—ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and higher-quality healthcare system.
